3 Quotes to Live by

Day by day, in this potentially rushed and chaotic world, it is easy to get lost in the habit of feeling the urge to stay on autopilot. By autopilot, I mean when you do everything so lifelessly and habitual – not because you want to, but because you have to. During these times, I like to sit back and read quotes, if time allows it, even books to help calm down and see the bigger picture.

If you’re feeling this way, it’s important to set aside time for yourself and for your loved ones, especially in this temporary pandemic normal that creates anxiety on its own. It’s time to think of ways to uplift your spirits, because in doing so you can bring that positivity to others. And isn’t that what it’s all about? Isn’t life about continuously bringing happiness to one another? If you are having trouble finding positivity and encouragement in life, worry no more – we got you covered with these thought-provoking and spirit-enlightening quotes.

“There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will.” – Epictetus

We can’t control it all. We can only control our thoughts and our reactions! That’s it. A friend of mine would always tell me “you can’t control your emotions, but you could control how you handle them,” which I didn’t comprehend until I stepped out of my head and saw the bigger picture. This happens with worrying about the future – at the end of the day, it hasn’t even happened yet! Will it even happen? The future is not in our control.

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” – Mahatma Gandhi

One thing is to want to be happy; the other is to actually start making that thought a reality! It sounds so simple, but it actually is in everything you do. In every habit and in all the small efforts you put into every detail of your life. Something I like to practice is journaling what I exactly want in every aspect of my life. In doing so, I have a clear mind of what I do not want, and a base to start off towards what I do want.

“The most important thing is to enjoy your life—to be happy—it’s all that matters.” – Audrey Hepburn

Yes queen!
